Is it safe?
The answer is that it is probably safer than  what the Military computers that are connected to the Internet.  The reason is that this system is not known to the hackers and those that do know of it do not know that it exists on your system and therefore cannot exploit it.

Let's be honest, nothing going across the Internet is absolutely safe.  No question about that when the military is hit regularly   75,000 attempts in 2004 and 8,000 known to be successful getting into Defense Dept. systems.

BUT TO MAKE DOUBLY CERTAIN THAT YOU WILL NOT BE HACKED BECAUSE OF THIS SERVICE YOU CAN TURN IT OFF AND LEAVE IT OFF UNTIL YOU  NEED IT. TO DO SO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION BELOW
 

1. Run your Computer with the REMOTE SERVICE DISABLED.

bullet Find the LogMeIn icon on your system tray at the bottom right of your screen in the system tray.
bullet RIGHT CLICK on it
bullet Choose DISABLE LOGMEIN  and LEFT CLICK

When this is done no one can use the service at all.Neither Us nor any hacker..  

Do remember to turn it back on  when you need us and provide the current password to access your computer
 

2. You can also Change your access password to the machine for the remote service.  Just change your Windows password to do so.
